About Us
Independent Family Run Quality Repairer
Motocolor Southampton is an independent vehicle repairer. This means our business survives purely based on customer satisfaction and repair quality, unlike bodyshop chains that's are fed masses of work, and where customers become just another one of their "stack it high, sell it cheap" repairs. You can be sure we will do what ever we can to make you a happy customer, as to us happy customers are return customers.
Motocolor Southampton was created in 2003 when the original company 'Motocolor' moved to its current central Southampton location. Motocolor enjoyed over 25 years of successful business before deciding that a larger premises was required and hence the move and name change. We are well established and own the latest equipment, including aluminium welders and laser chassis alignment jigs to repair your vehicle. In addition, all materials and water based paints used are solvent free and are therefore environmentally friendly.
Manufacturer Approvals
Motocolor Southampton is manufacturer approved for Jaguar, Land Rover, Mazda, Suzuki and Hyundai. In order to receive these approvals, the highest levels of training and quality are required. Every repair, manufacturer approved or not, has to be meticulously carried out to manufacturer guidelines to ensure that each vehicle is returned in the condition the manufacturer intended, and that the vehicles integral safety is not compromised.
It is a testament to the hard work and professionalism of all the staff at Motocolor Southampton that we were able to attain these prestigious approvals and are categorised by Jaguar and Land Rover as a "Bodyshop of Excellence"
PAS 125 - BSI Kitemark
The Publicly Available Specification 125 has been developed by key stakeholders in the motor industry to ensure that customers of bodyshops can be reassured that staff are trained and equipped to repair vehicles safely. Run by BSI the Kitemark scheme is completely independent and impartial and is based upon the technical specification - PAS 125 - and focuses on the five key elements of the repair process: People, Methods, Materials, Equipment and Process Management.
This Kitemark scheme was developed by BSI and Thatcham Vehicle Research Centre in order to ensure that the standards of repair applied to modern motor vehicles reflects the demands of the motor industry for continuous improvements in quality and safety. Repairing modern, technologically advanced motor vehicles has never been more challenging. Higher quality and complexity in vehicle body design has also increased the training needs and competency levels required for technicians engaged in body repairs.
Motocolor Southampton recognise the need for continuous improvement and development in the skills and techniques associated with the safe repair of modern vehicles. We fully support the ongoing improvements in safety and quality associated with BSI Kitemark Services, which is why we are proud to confirm that all aspects of our repair processes have been rigorously tested by the BSI Inspectorate and as a result, Motocolor Southampton have been awarded the Kitemark standard of approval for PAS 125:2011.
The Kitemark is the world's premier symbol of trust, integrity and quality. By gaining the Kitemark we can assure customers that we have satisfied the most rigorous of quality processes, and they can be confident in the efficient, effective and safe repair of their motor vehicle while it is in our care.
